Moving Up to Norton College
Our comprehensive programme of induction and transition activities enable our new Year 7 cohorts to experience life at Norton College, gain confidence with the move to secondary school and make new friends along the way.
Application to North Yorkshire Council
Each October, we run a 'Moving Up to Norton College' event to share more information about our transition programme. Following this event, parents must register their preference of secondary school with NYC School Admissions, who acts as the Admissions Authority for Norton College. The deadline for applications is the 31st October and it is essential that all families meet this deadline. Parents are informed of the allocation list at the beginning of March via a letter from NYC.

Transition Activities
Once we have our confirmed cohort for September, we write to all parents in early May with final arrangements for the forthcoming events.
