Update: Monday 4th November 2024

On Monday 4th November 2024, we announced that we would consult on a proposal to instigate a phased closure of the sixth form from September
2025. Please see below the letter to stakeholders which provides all information on this consultation. 

Update: Friday 31st January 2025

 On Friday 31st January 2025, we received confirmation from the Department for Education's Regional Director of the following outcome in relation to the above consultation:

• The phased closure of Norton College Sixth Form will commence from 31st August and the school will not admit a Year 12 cohort in September 2025. 
• Students entering Year 13 will continue their studies as normal through the academic year 2025-26. The sixth form will close fully as of 31 August 2026.
